I‘ve not posted to my blog in a few months now and each day I find a new tool to blog about but then I find the next day has come around and a days work is well underway.  I’m busy working on a few projects I’ll post more about soon but I wanted to tell you about this.

I just found this neat little tool and it’s certainly one to bookmark.  There are a few services (paid & unpaid) which  I use daily and sometimes I want to be able to check the status of those services to ensure a site or business is not being effected.

The one I found today is for Google.  If  you use any/many/all of Google’s services this is a must have in your bookmark folder.

There’s always been hype about earning money through Google Adsense but there’s now a product that will automate the complete process for you.

It’s a simple tool you use by entering keywords into the software and then a website is built for you with the click of a button.

Anyway the software is Pubster

Pubster allows you to build content rich sites and generate revenue from Ads and Affiliate links.

This little tool automaticaly syncs your Google calendar with your Outlook calendar which mean you can the sync your iPhone with Outllook and have all the same data available on your phone.

Now this little app allows you to adjust how many minutes the sync process happens, it’s small download and simple installation.

Go and try it out and you’ll never miss another birthday agian!

Whilst I’m playing around with WordPress I thought it would be best to start learning more php code. After a couple of days of searching and reading how to manually install php and apache (for Windows) locally on my system I came across XAMPP a one click install program that does it all for you.

It’s like an out the box and ready to install package, run the .EXE file which will install APache, MySql and FileZilla if you want it, and it’s done!! That’s it!! No more reading, more time to code!!

Once you have XAMPP installed you navigate from your web browser to http://localhost/xampp/which shows the the main user interface with links to tools, scripts and tutorials.

From the XAMPP welcome page you can also directly link to phpMyAdmin where you can create as many Databases locally as you please.

What I liked about XAMPP was the ease of installation, within a few clicks I was up and running and testing PHP code locally, XAMPP also has a mini control panel accessible from the tray icon in the taskbar. The control panel allows you to stop and start the Apche/MySql servers access the admin control panels and get status updates.

Anyway back to learning some more PHP.

GrandCentral are aiming to give you one number for all your phones, for life!

Whilst playing around with a Blogger site I had just started, I found Grand Central a phone company purchased by Google.

Anyway I tried to join but it appears the service is not yet available in the UK. but it look very neat and would certainly come in handy.

If anyone is currently using this in the US I would love to hear about it.

GrandCentral will offer visual voice mail and heaps of other features for managing calls.

Now that email has become part of everyday life you should be sending regular emails to your clients with promotions, news and especially offers.
