CD/DVD Drive Not Recognised In Windows
April 11th, 2008
Is your CD/DVD Drive missing in Windows?
Thinking of phoning tech support to get a new one?
Try this first it may just fix it. Some CD & DVD Burning software installs filters within the Windows registry.
You can delete the Upper and Lower Filters which cause this problem of the drive not being recognised or missing in My Computer.
Fix:
- Click the Start button, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
- In Registry Editor, expand the following registry path:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class
- Under Class, click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
- In the right pane, right-click UpperFilters, and then click Delete.
- Click Yes when prompted to delete the registry value.
- In the right pane, right-click LowerFilters, and then click Delete.
- Click Yes when prompted to delete the registry value.
- Quit Registry Editor. To do this, click Exit on the File menu.
- Restart the computer.
Hope that helps!!!

My Finished DVD Product
April 10th, 2008
OK! So have you ever wondered what goes into producing your own DVD’s?
Retail ready DVD’s!! DVD’s which can be listed as NEW to sell on Amazon.
I’ll be sharing some of my experiences with you but firstly I wanted to show you this, a completed DVD I’ve been working on.
I’ve been learning some new video editing skills and today the first final draft of a completed product arrived in the post. This was a test to see how quick the DVD would arrive and see what the service overall was like from the duplicators.
The DVD was completely packaged and retail ready, quite impressive to see what would be delivered if I was to ship this directly to a customer.
Blue Screen Of Death - BSOD
April 9th, 2008
The dreaded Blue Screen Of Death.
Here’s a link to a Blue Screen Error code list. This site is a MUST have in your bookmark list:
If you ever need to check the BSOD code just take the last characters from the first block of 0×00000051.
EG: 0×00000051
Remember the 51, visit the above site usually from a another working system, if your is Blue Screening on each boot, and check your error.
Usually running what’s called a Check Disc repair (chkdsk /r) in the command prompt from the Operating Disc should fix it, well 8/10 times it works for me.
If the check disc does work, log into your system backup your data and do a full OS reinstall and start from fresh.
My Daily iPhone Blog (Not very exciting)
April 7th, 2008
I’ve been playing with the new iPhone and learning how to upload pictures directly to a Blogger account.
This is one of quickest blogs I’ve setup and with adjusting a few settings, creating an email address within Blogger, I was able to immediately email pictures directly from my iPhone to my blogs!!
The address of my iPhone blog is: http://dailyiphone.blogspot.com
Since I’ve set this I’ve been trying to add different pictures each day, the pictures are nothing flash just random snaps of stuff through my day.
Blogger is nice easy to use service with lots of options to customise the look and feel of your blog with the added feature of including Google Ads. I was thinking of the different opportunities this could present for people or businesses where pictures could be uploaded to a site from anywhere in the world and viewed online.
It’s something very easy to setup and took less than 10 minutes from start to finish. Although Blogger is easy to use I prefer the flexibility Wordpress offers.

Bank $1 Million Every Month In Profits
March 28th, 2008
I read this article sometime ago but thought I would link to it here. Imagine banking this kind of money.
The original article was published by: Forbes
The Smartest Unknown Indian Entrepreneur
Entrepreneur Marc Benioff is afraid of him. Venture king Mike Moritz wants to invest in him.
You have never heard of Sridhar Vembu, founder and CEO of AdventNet, the company behind newly launched productivity suite Zoho.
Vembu is a low-profile guy if there ever was one. He is also cheap as hell. Yet, of course, you know that among entrepreneurs, frugality is a virtue. A tremendous virtue.
Vembu has stretched this virtue to extreme limits, and added layers and layers of creativity upon it. The result? A 100%, bootstrapped, $40-million-a-year revenue business that sends $1 million to the bank every month in profits.
Doing what? you might wonder.
Selling network management tools, to be precise. But with a unique twist. Vembu employs 600 people in Chennai, India, and a mere eight in Silicon Valley. Imagine what that does to his cost structure!
Not only that, in India Vembu’s operation does not hire engineers with highflying degrees from one of the prestigious India Institutes of Technology, thereby squeezing his cost advantage.
“We hire young professionals whom others disregard,” Vembu says. “We don’t look at colleges, degrees or grades. Not everyone in India comes from a socio-economic background to get the opportunity to go to a top-ranking engineering school, but many are really smart regardless.

I’ve not yet fully tested out Zoho but it has some tools I certainly would like to try out the web conferencing and online databases. TechCrunch provide a got look at the notebook tool and other services.
