In the world of product development and Internet Marketing we hear and make lists of excuses about our own products or projects not being completed.

Some of you probably have memebrship sites that you want launch, some of you may have reports and physical products you plan to sell, some of you are maybe trying to get an affiliate product online but it’s taking longer than you expected.

The key question is “When will it be ready?

The headline of this post is very true.  If you have developed your own products then it will make more sense but it applies to anyone who has tried to launch their own product, website, DVD, eBook etc

I’ve been away at some  seminars and workshops recently and I was amazed at how many people had finished products ready to sell but were holding back because of some reason or another.

Maybe embarrassment, maybe over complicating the product, maybe something “small” got in the way but the most likely factor is fear of failing.

After you have watched the video go and watch it again you pick up on some points you previously missed.

My Answer is in Lists!

Start with a list.  Go and buy yourself a small pad and write down the first project you want to complete and then write down all the other project ideas you have. The main focus is completing the first one on the list.

This is a rough breakdown of how I work:

  1. Write a list of all project ideas or products you want to launch (the list can be as long as like).
  2. Start a new list with the day at the top E.G Tuesday
  3. Forget about all the other projects, you have them written down and you already picked one you want to start with.
  4. With the first project from your list make another list of everything that needs to be done for that product to ship.  Also estimate a time scale for when you want it completed and make it realistic.
  5. Now you should have 1 project with a list of sub items to work through.
  6. Place the easiest tasks at the top and mark any tasks, if any, that you want/need to outsource (remember outsourcing work is not because you can’t do it but also to save you time).
  7. Next outsource your work but give clear instructions to the worker (You want to be able to forget about those tasks and focus on your list).
  8. Start working through the remanding tasks on your list.
  9. If you reach the end of the day then start on new list for the next day E.G Wednesday
  10. Continue to work through the list and complete the project.

Eventually the list WILL go down but the primary focus is getting your first product ready to ship!

If you hit a brick wall then search for help or try and breakdown the task into smaller tasks to see if it can be completed.

Remember

When you run out of money or time YOU SHIP.  Then you are on time and on budget.
